Luke 13:22-30
Jesus went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

Someone: Lord, are there few that be saved?

Jesus (to the group): Strive to enter in at the strait (narrow) gate: for many will seek to enter in and shall not be able.

Jesus explained further with a parable.

After the master of the house has risen and shut the door, you will stand outside and knock at the door.

You: Lord, Lord, open unto us.

The master of the house: I don’t know where you are from.

You: We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets.

The master: I don’t know where you are from; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.

There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.  And, behold, some who are last shall be first, and some who are first shall be last.
